Sleeping in Class Activity: Stages of Sleep, Psychology, & The Enchanted City
Sleeping in Class Activity: Stages of Sleep, Psychology, & The Enchanted City
Is your psychology class ready to learn about sleep by actually sleeping? What if I told you that one of my best lessons is an activity that allows my students to fall asleep in class. Guess what? It's true! Although sleeping appears to be disengaging, this lesson is quite the opposite. It has become a student favorite as they are completely engaged and will never forget their sleeping activity in psychology class! This Enchanted City: Sleeping Activity is a must use lesson for all psychology courses or any class that studies sleep. See the details below.
⭐️ This is the same sleeping activity that was featured on GOOD MORNING AMERICA and went viral on Instagram! ⭐️
What's Included:
A set of teacher instructions to guide you through the details of the lesson. It is plug-n-play which means no prep for you!
A complete set of editable notes guiding students through the educational information on the stages of sleep. (These notes are in GOOGLE Drive format, but can be exported as PowerPoint if you prefer.)
A 30 minute story script for you to guide students through their sleeping experience.
An editable reflections worksheet that allows students to document their pre and post sleeping observations such as body temperature, heart rate, and remembrances of the sleeping story. This worksheet is a great way to help lead a post discussion! (This worksheet is available in both PDF or Google Drive)
A set of post-activity questions to use as a classroom discussion or an individual essay of reflection.
“My psychology classes loved this sleeping activity. Even the one class that I didn't think would be able to engage with this activity loved it! I look forward to this every semester. Plus, the kids loved having a legitimate opportunity to sleep in class. - Susan ★★★★★
